For sale a beautiful alto selmer model 26 from 1929. This is one of the best sounding alto saxophones i have ever tried. With lots of projection, beautiful and round sound. From the low register to the altissimo, the sound of this horn is really even and well balanced through all the register of the horn, with lots of power when it is pushed. This saxophone is one of a kind and you won´t see many like this one around the world these days. The neck of this horn is original, as well as the lacquer (actually it has almost no lacquer because it felt down through the years). Only the metal from the keys has been relacquered, but this doesn´t affect the sound in any way. The pads are not new, but they serve well. The saxophone is in perfect playable condition and it plays beautifully. Even though of course it will improve even more if some adjustments are done. In my opinion this particular saxophone beats many other selmer´s that i have tried, including many balanced, super balanced action and mark vi´s.
