Matrox-"X", komt van 'eXcellence in Graphics; waaronder deze Matrox G-series G450 Millennium valt en dit zijn duurzame en grafische kaarten van hoge kwaliteit voor AGP systemen in Workstations en Servers. Het betreft hier een uitvoering die relatief recent nog te koop was en recent is ondersteund door Matrox tot het jaar 2012. De Matrox G450 zijn videokaarten voor de semi professionele gebruikers of specifieke taken zoals een workstation, office computer en Sever systemen. Deze Matrox G450 Millennium is voorzien van een universele AGP Interface waardoor deze kaart gebruikt kan worden in systemen met een AGP 4X, 8X , 2X AGP interface. Deze uitvoering is te gebruiken in vrijwel elk systeem met AGP inteface, waar Dual VGA gewenst is of ter vervanging van een onboard VGA adapter of defect grafische kaart
