Recorded in just 10 days at the bands own Altai studios 22Pistepirkko step forward with their idea of impressive simplicity lively trioplaying and good melodies After periods of heavy experiments in electronic production work their current concept of keeping things simple was already their approach for the DropsKicks 2005 album sessions Now with the new album one can hear it in full bloom

PK Kernens vocals and guitar playing have gathered depth that one doesnt hear too often Additionally drummer Espe Haverinen simplified his playing to a great effect and sings more touching songs then on any other album Asko Kernens sonic bass weird organs and effects add a room with a view so specific 22pp and just right for producer Kramer to play with those bits and pieces in a most gentle and subtle way

Chris Bailey of The Saints heard it and wrote From the first bars of the opening track you know you are in for a treat this record is MAGIC Unlike most recordings these days the album is more than just a collection of random tunes constructed to fit the usual music business marketing straitjacket it is in fact a tour de force through the very unique musical landscape of 22PP Each song has its own personality and reference point which should defy inclusion on the same album yet all combine to create an astonishing journey through all that is glorious about pop music a stupendous piece of work
